The Art & Science of Leadership

This is a guide for supervisors, managers and any sort of leader looking for tools to lead their team or group with both vision and integrity. By defining and quantifying the concept of leadership, this site shows that great leaders are made, not born.

Character Counts!

A program dedicated to educating young men and women through the “Six Pillars of Character”: trustworthiness, respect, responsiblity, caring, fairness and citizenship. The program places a strong emphasis on sports in its “Pursuing Victory with Honor” page, which recognizes athletes who don’t compromise their values.

My Hero

Heroes can be strong, bold and valiant — they can also be compassionate, generous and gentle. This site is dedicated to exploring the spirit of heroism, and celebrating those who exemplify that spirit in today’s world, and throughout history, from soldiers, athletes and rescue workers to teachers, religious leaders and philanthropists.

The Giraffe Heroes Project

This site is designed to recognize people in today’s world who “stick their necks out” and “stand tall” — in other words, to honor real-life heroes. Although it is aimed at school-aged children, there are some very interesting stories here for readers of all ages.

The Institute for Global Ethics

Their mission is to promote ethical behavior in individuals, institutions and nations through research, public discourse and practical action. A very thorough examination of what constitutes moral an ethical behavior on every level of society.

Character Unlimited

“What you do and who you are can and will make a difference in the lives of people around you.” That’s the message that this site shares by focusing on ethics in workplaces, schools and juvenile justice systems.

Chicken Soup for the Soul

The companion website for the wonderful book series which tells the inspirational stories of everyday people. You can sign up to receive a daily “cup of soup,” or tell your own inspirational story - maybe they’ll include it in the next book!
